Doctors & Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Nolte Eye Care a proud provider of vision care products and services in Indianapolis.

Julia Nolte, O.D.

Julia is a native of Indiana. She attended Indiana University, where she received a BA in chemistry and a minor in sociology. She then attended Indiana University School of Optometry for her doctorate. Very soon after graduating, she realized she wanted to start her own practice and opened the doors in 1998.

Throughout the years and several renovations, she has continued to be an eyecare provider for the westside of Indianapolis. She is passionate about providing full scope care to her patients, and helping individuals with their unique eye care needs.

Julia currently resides in Avon, Indiana with her husband (Tony Nolte, the manager of Nolte Eye Care) and her family of greyhounds. She enjoys trail riding and showing her Tennessee Walking horse on the weekends.

Tony Nolte

Tony has been with Nolte Eye Care 12 years as the manager. He is the primary optician for the optical, in addition to keeping our inventory fresh and office running smoothly. He resides in Avon with Julia and his beloved greyhounds.

Anne

Anne has been with Nolte Eye Care for over 2 years. She is our insurance and billing specialist. If you have any questions concerning your insurance or vision plan, this is the person to call!

Stephanie

Stephanie is our newest employee and has been with Nolte Eye Care for just over a year. She brings years of experience as an optometric technician/optician to our office. She performs preliminary and special testing.

Michael Gillett

Michael has been with Nolte Eye Care for over 3 years. He has broad training in technician skills and optician skills, and you will see him working with glasses in addition to preliminary and special testing. Michael will be starting Indiana University Indianapolis in the fall, and plans to continue on to Optometry school following his undergraduate courses. He could very well be the future doctor of Nolte Eye Care!
